Default 95 TXT Series shift issues

It's been a while since I've visited the forum, but I need help.
My cart is having issues moving forward and reverse. When I move the lever it a very small window to catch, kind of looking for that " sweet spot". Then when it does the cart lunges in that direction.
I have the Hunting Buggy package from Scottie B.
48500 Alltrax controller
HD F&R switch
400-amp solenoid
Heavy Cables
The induction switch has been changed.
I've taken off the F&R switch and found one of the lugs was leaning and melted into the plastic.

Could it be the F&R switch not making good contact or.......????

The F&R switch must be replaced. Excessive amperage draw or partial contact engagement or loose connections will all cause heat which will result in the described condition. This is the most common F&R failure.

I would consider a reversing contactor for a number of reasons. Get rid of that outdated lever switch.

Just tighten up the lever to improve contact until it is difficult to move - the boss will change her mind...

You cannot go wrong changing to the reversing contactor.

Ok... I had a F&R here didn't have to order one. Maybe will go with the reverse contactor if..... the Boss says OK.
But now I have another issue...
NOTHING I have nothing. No click from solenoid, nothing on my battery gauge. Nothing.
When I removed the old I switched one wire at a time to make sure I had the right order.
Don't know what's wrong.

Ok after playing with this headache.. I have forward, no reversI'm.
I'm about at my limit.
Let's talk about this reversing contactor.
Difficulties? I'm a carpenter by trade so with a hammer and saw I'm comfortable.
With a multi meter and wire somewhat limited.

And the Boss.. it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission.
