clutch removal fail 2pg
tried removing clutch filling with oil and using bolt to remove. Poured 1/2 quart of oil in shaft and it wouldn't fill. where did the oil go and why won't it fill up? turned it over to drain oil and only a little came out. Am I missing something or does this motor have serious problems. thanks for any help

The crankshaft is solid. You probably filled your clutch with oil.

I don't care for that method for three reasons;
1) Way too messy 2) It never works anyway 3) Way way too messy again Get yourself a real clutch puller tool (or make one) and you'll have it off in a jiffy mess free |

Take yourself a scrap bolt and grind down the threads and sides so it's smaller than the mounting bolt and slide it into the shaft. Cut it down to a length that allows you to still thread in the mounting bolt 1/2 way. The mounting bolt will tighten down onto the shaved down bolt and literally push it off the shaft.
