Default HONDA GX630...to do or not to do?

I am pretty new to modifying buggies, however I recenty started a new build. Aesthetically, I have it close to where I want it, however the power is not gonna satisfy my needs. I think that Id like to swap out the stock motor for a Honda GX630, but Id like to talk to peoper who have already done so.
Please lead me in the right direction!!! Is this considered the best swap.
PS. I am not interested in an ATV implant at this time on this build.

I love the Honda Engines, but my vote goes to the Briggs Vanguard. 18, 20 or 23hp.

Lots of speed parts made.

Currently, you cannot remove the governor on the gx630. It is both mechanical and electronic. No one makes the parts. DO NOT TRY TO USE THE GX670 Ignition.

So, you are stuck at 3600rpm regardless.

With the vanguard, the sky's the limit.

And a better option that's actually cheaper and comes with outstanding support

I prefer the CPP stuff but I was going off the GX630 part. I wasn't sure if he had the engine or not all ready.

I do not have the Honda engine, just the idea. Hond has a great reputation for quality products, so that is the biggest reason that I was leaning in that direction. Seems as if though you guys really prefer the Vanguard setup. Also from what I am seeing now the Honda kit is a little cheaper vs the 24hp Vanguard. Decisions, decisions.

Anything else I should consider here?

Ok since you don't have the engine get the CPP kit. Hands down best for this kind of swap. Sure you can swap the motor your self and build brackets. But to track down all the little things you forgot and all the little details that get over looked you'll probably be a few months into it realistically. The kit from CPP 4 hours alone 2 with friends and you're down the road. When you add up the price of the motor and all the tid bits it's honestly about the same price as the kit. Plus you get Tom's customer support with it. He should write a book on how to treat people and make it mandatory to read and pass a test before you can get a buisness license.

I have a Honda GX620 in mine. Everything else is from CPP. As fstg21 said earlier, there are a lot more performance parts available for the Briggs than the Honda.

I have 4 carts with Honda GX670's (24hp) and one with a 23hp Vanguard.

The Hondas are torquey and reliable (albeit a little thirsty), but the briggs will blow right past them.
