Default Brake adjusting help....

Put new drums and pads on. it stops but I still have to push hard with oedal all the way to the floor. Is there some type of adjusting I can do. I adjusted the pads as close as I could go. Ithought they would self adjust for more pedal.....Thanks

Few parts differ between G&E, have you adjusted the cable tension ?
That usually does the trick!

also check the cables for binding. they are bad about rusting internally so one side may not work. Get someone to push the brk cable down while you watch and make sure both move at the drums.

Just thought i would throw this out there.
