Default Re: OK Jeep Enthusiast (NEED YOUR HELP)

Bought a 2000 TJ sport a couple months ago for $800. Everything above the frame looks brand new. Two tops, Nice sound system, owned by a woman who had it serviced regularly at a dealership. They never told her that they have a problem with the frame rusting inside out from salted roads. Those Jeeps had a serious flaw in that there are no drain holes in the box frame, but there are access holes in the top of the frame where the salt water can get in but can't get out. Around these parts, unless you put a lot of time into keeping the frame cleaned out, all the Jeeps with box frames are rusted from the inside out. This year, to her surprise, it wouldn't pass inspection. Lucky me. Looks like new. I am going to try to repair the frame by boxing it. I have all the stuff, now if I can find the time....Any advice???

This was my 84 CJ,.... had to sell after 2 weeks in ICU.

I bought it for $3500. Bought hardtop doors, seats and wheels/tires. 5 speed went out at 100k miles replaced it with a T4. I've regretted selling it every day since.

Took on a project not long ago. Had a budget and a timeline and a customer. My customer was my son. My time line was July 13th his birthday. We won't talk budget,...

93 K1500 Blazer, Motor had blown head gaskets and had been run extremely hot. I have never in my life seen a engine this bad and still running. Bought and fresh motor. We took it down painted everything replaced a intake gasket, plugged it in and fired it off. I couldn't have took him and bought him a new one and he'd be any more happy.

He has a long laundry list of things he wants to buy and install. Hope LMC has a rewards program.

my old 69 cj5, started out with the 225 v6 and t14a tranny, ended up with a small block 350 and a muncie close ratio 4 speed. had a lot of fun with it back in the day.
the last pic is the start of the TDS run about 73 (Tierra Del Sol)

Which engine did that 93 have? The 5.0 305 or 5.7 350?

5.7 350 TBI,.... I probably did the most stupid thing on this (not thinking)

I bought a used engine and time I got it here, fixed a few issues, and installed I had just as much money in it if I had bought a Autozone crate engine. But turns out this motor is a 4 bolt with a roller cam. Very strong motor. I believe if I tweaked it a little and maybe got a performance chip, it would pull the front tires.
