Default honda 24hp v twin carburator

Hey Guys I need some help with the carburetor on a Honda 24hp V-twin engine. I have fire to the cylinder, gas up to the carburetor but not entering the carburetor. Could it be sticking float or gummed up carb. What is the best coarse of action form here?

Does the carb have a solenoid valve?

Not sure, where would it be located on the carb?

This is on a Vanguard V-Twin. It closes when the key is off, shutting off the flow of fuel. Sometimes they fail, and do not open. Remove it, cut off the plunger and reinstall. That's what I had to do.

Hey, Thanks Dave
I will try the fix you have suggested. I'm new to Honda V-twin engines and appreciate your help.

Yes Carson, Dave is correct. The Honda 2-barrel carb does have a fuel-cut off solenoid located at the very bottom of the carb. It can only be reached by removing the carb from the manifold. It will have 1 wire coming from it. I think it is yellow in Color? Simply removing the wire will not make it work. As Dave said, you will need to remove the actual solenoid itself, cut the needle portion off, re-install solenoid.

Before removing it you might check to make sure that your getting power too the valve when you turn the key on.

Have someone turn the key on while you listen at the carb. You should hear an audible click when power from the key activates the valve. If you don't hear the click I'd then check the wire for power while the key is on. You may just need to run the wire as it may have broken or disconnected. You can also run a new wire to the valve if you need too.
