Millertime -- suhweet.

I had the starter tested before the rain began and its in good shape.. means I need to go back through the electric lines/relays and see if there is a bad line.

My workshop and parts manuals arrive sometime next week, so I'm hoping my knowledge increases quickly so I can get 1) the engine to run and 2) the hydraulic fluid/filter replaced.

This is my first tractor overhaul and I'm going slow to be sure I don't make it worse than when I started..don'cha know.

Have you checked the neutral safety switch?

Millertime --
Had rain Wednesday.
All day on Thursday (today) was cardiologist visit for husband.
So Friday is my chance to recheck all the electrical lines/contacts.

I haven't gotten my manuals yet, so I'm clueless (as usual) about things.
Where is the safety switch?
I thought if I have the clutch in, my butt in the seat, the brake engaged and both the low and high gear levers in neutral that I should be able to start the tractor.

Maybe we should start a separate thread (unless Dave is enjoying this hijack??)

Don't worry girl, there is no seat switch. Usually justs a thread in switch on the transmission that allows the starter to function only with thr trans in neutral. There is also a similar switch on the PTO lever or threaded into the differential housing. If you can"t find them, post back and I will get the exact locations.
