Default Getting my first RZR. Is this a good deal?

Im trying to decide wether to buy new, or used needing work like I always have done in the past. The one I looked at locally is a 2008 RZR 800 4x4. It ran good, it just needs a rear differential. The guy busted it somehow, actually had a piece missing from the case. It would move if you put it in 4wd, with the front wheels. I got him down to $2,000 for it. Rear ends seem to be around a grand. Other than that, the vehicle seems good besides a tear in the seat. Do you guys think this is a good deal? I may be able to get him at $1,800. Im just not too sure what these are worth. I have been told the older 800's are solid. This one has 2,661 miles. Repainting it and making it look new would be nothin since I paint cars everyday. Thanks!

Sure you don't buy much for 2000 grand. Even if you have to stick another 1000 into it.
I have used powersportsnation for used parts for my side by sides.

Big problem with the razors was the way the rear was built such that if you left the ground and let off the throttle the rear wheels would slow down and when it landed could reak havoc on the rear. Broken axles, rears and worse. Not sure what all you will need but price isn’t bad.
