Default Retired a couple months ago

I retired at the end of September. I've been taking care of some of those things that I had been putting off until I had time to get around to it.

I'm also figuring out new things to do other than siting in this recliner too much.
Winter time, even in Louisiana can be miserable for outside activities but I will make a couple day duck hunt next week with some old buddies of mine.

Anyway, I'm a Harley guy and own a 2002 Road King Classic and I think that the wife and I will be doing a bit of touring when Spring comes around.
I got to thinking about my old bike. Even though it runs great and has a new top end on it I started worrying about dependability.
I also got to thinking that I wanted a more comfortable bike with a few more bells and whistles.
I figured this time of the year would be a good time to add another bike to the corral and I started shopping. Bike sales like bass boat sales are down this time of the year and I made a good deal on a 2019 Electra Glide Ultra Classic.
It handles a bit different from my RKC and is about 100 lbs heavier but I'm getting used to it. I've had it a week with less than 200 miles on it so far. 60 miles of that was riding it home from the dealer.
Between bad weather or other things that I needed to do, I haven't had a chance for a lot of ride time.

Anyway, the new bike. The last pic, you'll see my old RKC.
I plan to hang on to it for a while.I never could get the images to rotate correctly except one that didn't give me a problem. You might get a crick in your neck looking at the others.

Sam

Sweet. Nice bikes.

Are you a cop? They both look like police bikes.

No, I never had a desire to get into law enforcement. The older RKC and new RKC's are used by many PD's but most are set up a bit different.
I have scared a few folks at times on that bike when riding. I could tell their first thought of seeing me that I was a cop.

Would scare me too. I ride a 1200 sporty. Would like to have a RK one of these days.
