So what the heck are these things? (Roadster's Ride at a Theme Park)
So I've visited this park frequently and have always seen there impressive collection of "cars" used in a ride.
So what are these things? First picture. The problem is, I can't get a good picture. Obviously the one I've shown you is not so great. Oddly enough they look like the real thing, but they can't be. Does anyone else have anything like this they have seen before. Any idea what they could be? I'd love to own one, as it would be awesome to own and could be operate on the streets with a little modification. They only run at about 3 MPH with the pedal slammed to the floor. There kind of a "kiddie" ride (though anyone can go on them,) but I'm quiet interested in what these things really are. |

Six flags in St. Louis had these until a couple years ago. I am not sure where they got them from but they were powered by a small briggs and stratton engine but would run in the mid teens if you fiddled with the governor when you got where the employees couldnt see ya! My buddy threw a rod in one of them one time hand throttling it! LOL

The bottom one looks like the tin lizzy's they used to have at Opryland. A friend and I popped one off the track when I was 14 and I ran over a control box. Had about 8 or so security guards circling us within minutes. Threatened to take our season passes and kicked us off the ride indefinitely. LOL!! We left that ride and went to the nurses station where they had these little animal things on springs for the kids to play on. My friend climbed on one and started rocking it back and forth hitting the ground in the front and back and the spring snapped. LMHO!!! Got kicked out of the nurses station.

The reason we had to go to the nurses station is because we were dipping skoal on the Barn Stormer (barrels that spin) and got sick and threw up everywhere. LOL!!
