Actually I don't think it will be much worse than a minibike.

Figured out the Briggs spark issue tonight. Poor ground on the magneto. Lots of good spark now.

Continue stripping paint. She's looking better. Not quite photogenic yet thought ;)

Yeah, I told him if that was me sitting in it I'd want some 1/4" plate between me and the privates.

Well you did say that you wouldn't ride anything purple so I didn't think it was necessary.

I am planning on forming some aluminum diamond plate for around the motor head but won't do that until I confirm locations of everything. It's not cheap stuff.

Progress update: I cut the entire frame last night. I'm waiting for parts to start welding it together. Wife gave me the for assembly in the basement.

Looks cool.
You could build a scoop covering back of engine and part of the sides, would act as heat shield and scoop sending heated air out the bottom.

Good Luck

DOOmsman, it is being assembled then taken apart for final welding and paint. Shouldn't be an issue to get it back out if it is apart.

Gearhead, I kinda like that idea. I'll have to model something up. Can't cover too much of the head because of airflow around the engine. Don't want to burn it up. But I think I can do something with this idea. Thanks!

Thanks for the compliment on the pipe.

made some progress... the motor is painted. Reassemble this week and get it to fire up. Have to buy some new gaskets.

The carb and gas tank are painted too. Waiting for the rain to stop so I can put them in the basement to dry.
