Went to start the Briggs yesterday. No luck. Carb isn't gummed but no reliable spark. Probably magneto. Since I have to rip it all apart going to repaint it too.

Well I was going to send some before pics but couldn't wait. Currently I'm in the home office with the cover of the engine researching. Steel for the frame is on order, I think it was picked up on Saturday.

Working on frame drawings now. I'll be in your neighborhood using Rick's TIG to tack it all together soon. I'll stop by for a frosty beverage when I'm out there.

The idea is to get a rolling chassis before winter. Then I can do my final fit-up and assembly in the basement (wife doesn't know about that yet lol) then take it all apart for finish welding, paint, reassemble this spring/summer.

Has to be done for the 4th of July parade. I'll send pics as they come along.

Perfection takes time and being the offspring of Skipper_52 I have no choice in the matter. Would you really expected that I wouldn't have repainted the engine anyway?

Trailer is titled WI. Thanks again Scot.

Oh and also it appears I threw away the seat I was going to use (or can't find it in the attic). While rummaging I found a bucket racing seat a friend (also a golf cart guy) gave me from his 427 Cobra kit car. He upgraded to leather from vinyl. So tonight I cleaned up the plastic and gave it a coat of paint. It had yellow overspray on it from the John Deere mower deck restoration spring/summer of 2010.

Looks like you might need some Kevlar or Nomex underwear while driving that one. The boys might get a little warm while straddling that motor!
