Need hwlp mounting sled engine and pics
I have a 2002 Ezgo txt that I got a 340 sled engine for. I got my old motor pulled I just would like some ideas and some pictures of how all of you have done your motor mounts and your exhaust routing. Thank you all for your help!

Re: Need hwlp mounting sled engine and pics
heres a picture of my 340. which is also for sale! i got lucky that is the stock exhaust from the sled. as far as mounts i ran a bar the width of the cradle for the front mounts and used the rubber mounts, and the back i did the same.

How did you get the generator to end up working with that motor?

Re: Need hwlp mounting sled engine and pics
I used a skidoo 503 and made a custom mount that used part of the mounting stuff from the sled. My cart was originally electric though

Re: Need hwlp mounting sled engine and pics
I don't have any good pics of how I did mine really... But since I made a swingarm from scratch it prolly would not help you much.
What I did was cut pieces of 1 1/2" DOM Tubing and mounted to the bottom plate that came out of the sled. Then used Poly Bushings to help soak up some vibration. On 2 of the mounts I welded in some big *** nuts inside the tubing so the front mounts have captive hardware. The other 2 I ran longer bolts through and put the nuts on the top side as there was plenty of room to work on the back side of the motor. This was all mounted to a flat steel plate that I mounted to my swingarm with 2 really beefy tabs.... Simple and only takes about 5 mins to yank the motor out. |

Re: Need hwlp mounting sled engine and pics
I bought a Crate EZGO 10.5:1 rear end brand new and added the limited slip kit... works good but could use 8:1 or 6:1 gears to make street/dirt cruising more comfy.. I want to try it in the sand before I make any changes tho
