Default Belt for G9 with Arctic cat 500

I have a 91 Hyundai with a G9 transaxle, Arctic Cat L/C 500 combination for power. I set the shaft centerlines to the same spec the G9 has so I could use the readily available belt for the G9 part number 1339-B25. The Primarey clutch is off of a 1980 Kawasaki invader 440 that uses a 1 3/16 belt like the Yamaha and I rebuilt the secondary clutch with all new components. The problem I am having is the belt starts to chunk after about 5 gallons of gas has been run through it during mostly abusive use and I have gone through 4 or 5 premium belts. After doing some research I found that the 2004-06 Yamaha Pro Hauler 700 uses the same dimension belt and there is a heavy duty version available for $49.00 part number DBYAJ56H. Have any of you had a similar issue with the drive belt in a similar application? have any of you tried belt for the pro hauler and had better service life out of it? The picture of the engine is before I changed to the Kawasaki clutch and the other picture is of the stock can off of the El Tigre 6000 muffler mouted under the bagwell. Though it is a little loud it is the quietest off all the sled engine powered golf carts I have built.

Im thinkin if you are killing belts that fast there is something else going on there.. If its centered.

I did turn a 100 dollar polaris belt into confetti when my rear end was lined up wrong tho

Im running a pure polaris belt for a rzr.. No problems so far after a couple good bashings.. There are expensive, and i herd some of the HD belts for 50-60 bucks are just as good

The belt allingment is good, was off a bit for the first two belts but it's good now and doing the same thing. I was thinking that 84 or so hp was too much for the belt as it looses chunks off of the working side with the ribbs. Or that my secondary spring is a touch to soft and the belt is getting sucked into the secondary shiv too far under load. All looks good in neutral reving it, all the way out on the primary and all the way in on the secondary with no funny stuff. But under a load could be another thing. Under normal use the belt could last forever but thats no fun

So far so good with the new belt. This belt has not stretched yet and seems to hold the power much better than the premium golf cart belt I was using.
