Default 2007 Star electric golf cart won't go forward

Good evening,

I think my title is self explanatory.

solenoid will click in reverse and move but doesn't click when i put it in forward.
I tried a new solenoid, that did not fix it.

I have a f/r toggle switch. Thought about replacing that.

The problem corrected itself a after it happened the first time a few months ago. Had been working fine since. I took a battery out the other day to remove my old voltage reducer and the no forward motion problem returned. If it is a faulty wire or something like that, I do not have a clue where it would be. I do not believe i hit a wire/moved/cut a wire in any way when removing the battery.

What do ya'll think.

Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like either a loose/bad connection, or the switch is warn out.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I have been snooping on ya'lls info for a couple of years. I finally got stumped and needed to talk to someone.

Anyway I could test the switch? I went a head and ordered one but when it gets here if it still doesn't resolve it I'll be right back where I am.

I swapped the wires on the back of the switch. All it did was make the "forward" reverse and "reverse" forward and my cart would still only go in reverse

Is this a series drive system or sepex? And are there any numbers on the controller?

sepex.

No numbers I have ever found. It is probably not even two years old. It was the first thing that broke.

Well you have already eliminated the fnr switch so next would be the wiring going from the switch to the controller. Without knowing what controller is in there I am not sure which wire to tell you to check at the controller to see if it is getting voltage. Maybe some of the Star guys will chime in.
