To ALL Zone Cart Owners That Received Your Cart, Welcome!

When most new members come to BGW they are doing so because they have many questions about their carts. You’ll see many posts like; “I’m new to carts and was wondering if this noise is normal,” or “I’m looking at buying a EzGo and was wondering what to look for?”. BGW is a site comprised of over 23,000 members, most all of which have carts and can help each other with problems when they arise.

A member of a Fat Wallet forum on Zone Carts was relaying his main interests for wanting to be a part of a forum group stating he only cared about knowing when he might receive his cart, what they might look like and when a tax form would be finalized. He felt that BGW was more of a technical support forum and had no real interest in it.

Well he was correct!

His main interest as he stated was a perfect example of why there were problems when a whole group of 20 Zone buyers came here from a thread they had over at FatWallet, causing a stir for the mods, looking only for a NEST to stay in. BGW was more convenient for them then FatWallet since it allowed them to start individual threads about everything but what BGW is all about.. CARTS and how to fix, maintain and modify them.

My personal point of all this is to say Welcome Cart Owners, whether Zone, Fairplay, Club Car, Yamaha, and all others. This is where you can exchange ideas on how to fix or fix up your cart and much more. If you just need a temporary resting stop until you receive your cart, then I would suggest looking at other sites that are more suited for just gossip and chit-chat until you’ll need real help down the road.

What BGW is NOT is a Babysitting Service for those that don’t have carts… a place to decide what’s best, Turbo Tax or TaxCut… What’s your order number and how come you got your cart first… or best of all, Where their carts will Sleep at Night???.

What BGW is… The largest Golf Cart Site anywhere with the largest amount of information available for the Golf Cart Enthusiast! It’s been here since 2006 and isn’t going anywhere

The Newest Addition is the Star, Zone and Fairplay Forum and I’m sure all the members of BGW look forward to helping you with your cart questions as well as learning from your experiences with your carts, (when you get them of course!)

I'd like to add something else to this thread that was brought up by an original Zone member in a PM. He stated that he liked the message about welcoming new Zone cart owners and the willingness to help them with any issues that might arise. But he also stated that some of the older threads such as "It's Zoner Appreciation Day" can send the exact opposite message.

He's absolutely right! But I'd like to point out, on this thread, that the "Older Zone Threads" were created during a more hostile time between regular members of BGW and the original Zone members. Those very few members came from FW wanting only to talk about EVERYTHING ELSE other then carts. Of course that's not what this site is about. The page has turned, those Zone members are no longer here and now have their very own gossip site to chat about taxes, DE's website updates, sleeping carts and when DE will let them know about when a cart will have a possible delivery date, all issues that are very important to them.

Time will show that when a Zone cart owner comes here, (an owner that can turn a key and drive off in their cart,) he or she will be welcomed. Of course if someone comes to BGW with the intent to disrupt what BGW is all about, (whether here in the Zone forum or anywhere else on BGW,) common sense would dictate that the person would surely be shown the door by a moderator or administrator.

So please forgive what might be construed as a mixed message with older threads in this forum and once again, welcome

I feel a need to add to this thread a bit. First off, people without carts are welcome here. Even if your waiting on a cart or just wanting to get into this hobby. what's not welcome here are the self serving pompous azzholes who only think of themselves without any consideration for others, we've sent them packing and will continue to do so with any new ones that come along.
This is a case where a handful of jackazzes ruined it everyone. several of these morons thought we were obligated to change the way we run our forum just to accommodate them. That's not going to happen.
For the potential Zone owners who have been seemingly boned by DE, well we hope the best for y'all but don't want to hear about it. We all ready know about all the dubious things DE's owner Colin Whateverhisnameis has done. We don't want to hear what a peice of sh!t he or DE is from anyone, save it for the class action lawsuit.
I believe we should pull "Zone" out of the forum title since there are only a few hundred of these re-badged chinese star cars out there.
