Default Zone cart reliability??

Just wondering if anyone has first hand experience with zone carts and reliability. I know there are as many aftermarket accessories available but the market is flooded with them after the tax credit. Seems I can get a nearly new 2010 for the price of a 6 or 7 year old ez go. Any thoughts?????

In 2 months, after the last carts are delivered to the poor saps who waited 12 months for delivery, and DE shuts it's doors, where will these carts get parts and service?

I could be wrong, but I doubt it....

I would pay more for the 6-7 year old cart. The stock 4 passenger I drove road and rattled worse than my cart with 26" tires.

I got my Zone cart on July 1st and havn't had any problems with it. My brother inlaw is a fork truck mechanic and has the Curtis hand held programer for the controller. I have the Delta Q charger in mine and have not had a problem. Most of the parts are the same as the Star Car if Drive Electric goes out of business. Its the first golf cart I've owned. The wife and kids have fun on it.

That's the way Harbor Freight is also. They know they sell cheap china tools that are disposable at best and will not last long, so they have enough price built in to replace lots of cheap tools and parts without any hassle.

Like Gorno said... you get what you pay for. Good luck to you with whatever you choose.

The first statement is a giant assumption, considering DE's own master tech cannot tell the Zone owners how many ounces of oil goes in the differential.

The second statement reinforces my concern about the first one, LOL.

Maybe the Star parts WILL fit.
