Default 2010 star cart head lamp replacement

i just bought a 2010 lifted star cart. i had all new batts and cables installed and a complete service done. well, i guess they forgot to check the headlights. the blinkers and tail lights work, but can't get headlights on. is there a fuse for just the headlights? how can i get the bulb out? do i have to take the complete light assembly off? is there a parts book online somewhere that will show diagrams? thanks for the help

Have you found the parts book yet?

Keep looking for the "parts book", call china, maybe they have it. A big factor in our dealership ditching Star lineup was minimal factory support. They would send us used gear-sets for warranty work.

Since you are no longer working with Star, are you still providing the parts service for the parts you sold?

This question assumes we had good parts availability while we were a dealer (this was not the case).

All the Stars we sold are no longer under their 2yr warranty (NO, we didnt screw them when the tax credit giveaway was over). We try to service anything we sold, under warranty or not. JH global provided us pretty much nothing as far as "dealer support" goes. The "parts manuals" we got were incomplete, often missing parts & part numbers (yes, totally absent from illustrations & lists). "service manuals" were non-existant, same for wire diagrams. We have to scour the auto parts suppliers for stuff like bearings & seals (and had to when we were a dealer, if we wanted to fix things in a timely fashion). We were left to "fend for ourselves" to figure out what "code 39" was caused by (burned solenoid contacts, dirt in solenoid plunger, cracked fuse element, still waiting for new solenoids, i wont hold my breath). Figure out a good solution for often damaged interlock switch in charge port. I am now seeing the charge plugs melting more & more often, im converting them to use a "crow-foot" plug. Poorly located 12v wiring fuse with corrosion problems. We were pretty much left with the task of re-engineering solutions to problems that may, or may not ever be addressed by the "factory". Some problems may have been addressed since then, but, i'm not looking back.
