I am 100% certain I do not have a DCS but I was confused between the descriptions of PDS and TXT48. BTW Scottyb I ordered a meter and plate today. I will be upgrading cables and controller next.
To say EZGO nomenclature is confusing is an understatement. I pity the golf cart archaeologists of the future trying to catalog all the variants.

The DCS, PDS, PDS-2 and TCT (aka TXT48 ) all have SepEx (Separate Excited) motors and different model Curtis controllers.
DCS = 1206SX (1995 - 1999) 36V
PDS = 1206MX (2000 - 2009) 36V
PDS-2 = 1264 (?) 48V
TCT = 1206HB (2010-present) 48V

Aftermarket Motor Advice

'07 DS IQ - 58.8v Lithium Pack, Alltrax XCT500a, 400a Solenoid, 6" Lift, 10" x 22" AT's I got the following:

Admiral A2 - 33 (33.5) mph
FSIP Speed - 35 mph
PQ Executioner - 38 mph

The Field Map was changed for each motor and all testing was on the same day, same cart, same parameters. I did not have a D&D so I did not get to test it, but will soon.

Note- This is a lithium pack that was topped at 58.4 prior to each test, is ~220 pounds lighter then a FLA battery cart and was tweaked to the max for testing.

My 2PG Rebuild with pics

Finally getting around to posting some pics of my 2PG rebuild. It's a work in progress but should be completed fairly soon.

The engine is out of an '88 Marathon that I got for $100 as a package deal. He said it ran when parked 3 years ago.

I did get it to fire up but not without alot of noise. When I removed the exhaust and looked up into the cylinder, this is what I found.

Boy, I guess it finally died right in the place where he parked it.

Below is the home made eloctrolysis setup for cleaning the cylinder before boring.

Here's the patient that needs the bath.

Here's the bubbling cauldron of magic that will clean all but the most stubborn buildup on the cylinder.
