Default Re: 1997 TXT DCS Reverse only

1997 TXT DCS Reverse only

1997 EZGO TXT DCS

The DCS controller (Curtis 1206SX) defaults to forward and has to be told to do reverse by placing pack voltage on Pin-4 (Orange wire), so the most likely suspect is the reverse microswitch on the F/R assembly is staying in the closed position.

Reverse microswitch is on the passenger side of F/R assembly.

Default Re: Ezgo pds bottomed out and now won't go

1. The attached PDF file is a pretty good checklist for a PDS motor and controller. It is for a stock PDS motor, but the Ohmic values for the PQ motor ought to be in the same ballpark.

2. Also attached is drawing of how to test a sepex motor.

3. Put controller in diagnostic mode and listen for beeped error codes. Text at bottom of attached label tells you how to put controller in diag mode.

---------------
The bad news is; if the motor is shorted out it probably took the controller along with it.

The good news is; an Alltrax XCT48400-PDS controller really perks up a PDS.
