Tomberlin Emerge: lights, odometer, all dead

Any thoughts of what would make them all dead? I can go forward and reverse like normal, but have no headlights, turn signals, horn, odometer. All fuses appear ok and nothing changes when fuses are swapped. Any thoughts on trouble shooting?

The voltage reducer is behind the batteries on the driver side. Common issue is the connected gets pulled. Because the car runs, almost guarantee that's where your problem is. There is a fuse there but never seen one blow yet. Connector is weak link. make sure you turn key on and wiggle the wires, youll find it then

I dug around back there and pulled on wiring with the key and lights turned on with no luck. Looking in the maintenance manual, these are labeled "DC Converter" and the "DC Changeover contactor and diode assembly". Looking at the wiring diagram, it certainly seems like this is where the power has stopped. Is there a way to test these two? What do I check next? Unplug the reducer and check for 12 V output? If I get none (which I assume I won't), I guess I have to replace that unit?

I checked the voltage in the wires between the DC Converter and the "DC Changeover contactor" . There is a red, yellow, and black. I pulled the red loose at it's midway connector. It had 8.84 V when tested from there to the nearest battery pos terminal. Zero to the negative connector. Reconnected the red. I pulled out the 20A fuse in the middle of the yellow. (Fuse ok). From that spot, tested 8.84V again to the pos terminal . Zero to the negative. I did not see a way to test the black wire without cutting into it, so I did not. Testing the nearest battery, from pos to neg gives 8.84V

Does this info help at all? Not sure of good place to test wires coming out of the "changeover connector / diode" without cutting into wires.

Check the connectors again. Ive never seen a reducer go bad yet but have had too many to count with a connector issue or a wire in the connector being pulled out

Are you talking about the red and yellow wires connecting these two units? Wiggling them does nothing. Do I need to take the square black cover (that says Tomberlin) off the changeover connector / diode. Has that been the common area? Or just in the connections within the center of the red wires and the fuse at the yellow?

I have continuity across both wires (tested). Thinking I have either a problem in the voltage reducer or the solenoid sending power to it. Trying to figure out which. Started a new thread with solenoid question.

Same problem. The wiring diagram I have is not as detailed as what you have obviously. The black lead from the voltage reducer is on the battery pack. The red wire is just hanging loose (batteries were replaced and that's when it happened). Does the red lead connect to the "DC Changeover" I assume?

Try unplugging your windshield wiper motor, I have seen many of those give fits to Tomberlin 12v systems.
