Default replacing 2012 vanish speed sensor

final effort to figure out whats wrong with this cart before it gets converted to gas engine. Was pretty sure the controller was junk but sent it out to be tested and came with no faults. Was told the speed sensor is the real problem and it looks difficult to change, I have the rear housing of the motor unbolted but it hits the frame and looks like I have to remove entire motor and transmission assembly just to change the speed sensor.

Any have tips how to test the speed sensor or easiest way to change speed sensor. Its behind the rear bearing of the motor so rear cover and rear shaft bearing need to be removed.

The motor MUST be removed from the vehicle. We used a gear puller to remove the bearing from the armature. The bearing and sensor are one piece. Just an FYI, that sensor bearing is several hundred dollars.

Thank you, Can the motor be removed without removing the transmission? I don't have an exploded view of the assembly to figure out what bolts hold the motor to the transmission.

Any way of testing the sensor? Cart would only move 1 mph and get really really hot after a short drive. speedo showed 1mph. trying not to play part changer troubleshooting, but diagnosing this issue has been difficult to say the least.
