Default EMERGE losing total power feeds when throttlepressed

OK big surprise my emerge is not working. heres the deal

2010 Emerge LE 48V

I turn the key on and everything lights up as should on dash incl. headlamps. I press the accelerator and everything goes dead, lights out total power feed loss. My firsyt thought was bad ignition switch so, I check at the ignition switch and it loses the power feed to the switch totally when this occurs, so that killed that thought. I wait a few seconds and then the dash lights up again....... press the throttle and black out again. Its doing this all the time right now which is why i jumped on it immediately. I checked pack voltage when this happens and it stays rock steady at 50+ so im not losing a pack feed at the battery posts. im in the process of tearing the covers off to get access to solonoids but wanted to get my question posted....

whats feeding the poweer, turning it on and off, to the ignition switch. does it come from the controller, off the solenoid or what. Its acting like a bad connection somewhere, but it may be a bad controller if thats where the feed comes from.

quick addition, just saw light on controller blinking a code 14---mean anything? and this keeps blinking even when theres the power feed problem, so thats not losing voltage

Yes curtiss controller

thank you, this just had a new throttle pot installed a couple weeks ago for a lack of power complaint, dealer said it was only getting a 60% throttle input. Guess its going back...thank goodness for warranty and for FOR SALE signs.

oxfordlawn,....Back in 2009 you posted several comments about the endurance of the batteries you had and I though you said you got them from Wal-Mart, but I could be mistaken. You also indicated you would update the website with new info after a couple of years usage. So now it is 2011,...how are those batteries holding up. Are they 8 volts or 12 volts.
