Killacycle - electric drag bike
Saw this bike on tv the other day, though the sparky guys would like to see if they haven't already. I believe it was 325 volts worth of lithium ion batteries and a couple of Russian submarine motors powering this thing, man it's fast . the second vid is the builder/owner nerd crashing it.

Total weight of the bike: 653 lbs (296 kg). Electricity consumption: 0.6 kWh, worth $0.07 for each run down the strip including the burn out. It corresponds to 2 ounces (70 ml) of gasoline. That guy had no business being on that bike and no safety equipment was just down right stupid.
That bike was crazy fast. Especially being electric. Just too quiet. I like the roar of a sopped up engine winding out. Some Nickelback playing the background is ok too. |
