Re: Yamaha G9 Lifted with 420cc predator swap
Thanks man! This carts a hoot to drive. I have raced both the golf carts in my neighborhood. They don't stand a chance. One was a G1 2-stroke and i beat it baddd. The other was EZ-GO Gas 48volt and it runs pretty good. I beat it out of the hole and then start walking away from it on top end.

Nice! I've got a G2 that I plan on probably putting a Duromax or Predator in, along with 22" tires. What kind of MPH are you getting with the Predator?

Re: Yamaha G9 Lifted with 420cc predator swap
Well since I have a small clutch on the front that's not made for this belt size it only runs 23mph. I have heard from another guy running the same tire size and a correct clutch he was seeing close to 40mph. When this clutch gets to opening up this belt just rides on top of the clutch itself. Lol. I made do with the parts I had laying around. I plan on ordering a new belt and clutch next week.

Wow 40mph with the correct clutch/belt? That's cruisin!! Do you have the performance spring for the driven clutch?
How do you think this engine would do on a limo cart with 4 people on it? I might temporarily put it on my limo cart for the Carolina Adventure World meet, then swap it into my G2 later so I can do a bigger motor in the limo. Thanks for the reply!! -Andrew |

Re: Yamaha G9 Lifted with 420cc predator swap
I don't have a performance spring in it. I would think with the correct clutch/spring combo this motor would be okay for a limo cart. It has quite a bit of low end torque. But I would consider a big block for sure in a limo cart so you can have some fun :)
