Club car carryall 6 stalls when I press the gas

I have a club car carryall 6 key start not sure the year. When I press the gas pedal in drive it just stalls. It was running fine about a month ago. Any ideas on what might be wrong?

Does it do the same in reverse or Neutral?
The cart is designed to shut off if the pedal is pressed with the shifter in neutral. If the yellow maintenance cam on the back of the shifter is in the wrong position you will not be able to drive with it in F or R, it will just kill the cart, but it will rev just fine in N.

If it stalls no matter which position the shifter is in, the second microswitch on the shift lever may be bad, or the miroswitch on the throttle cam in the electrics box may be bad. These work together to provide the ground path for the relay that keeps the engine running. If one of the switches is bad, the relay coil will lose power and and shut the cart off. In my experience it is usually the one on the shifter. Connect the two wires together to bypass the switch and then see if the cart will stay running.
If not, then it's the one on the throttle cam, and that one will need to be replaced or bypassed.
