OBC wire direction

I rearranged the positioning of my OBC to get my accessory battery inside the cart. Just noticed the wire from neg battery 6 passes through the OBC in the opposite direction... does this matter?

Did I read somewhere else that you were having charging problems?

It does matter, will get my buggy out and look later today when I mow the yard.

I'm having all sorts of problems. :banghead: It all started when I told the wife I'll finally have it put together and running for this weekend's Easter egg hunt with the wee little one. THat's when the gremlins went to work on the electrical part 'cause there's no way I did something wrong!
I'm even holding back on the whole list of problems! Don't want to overload the server or wear out my welcome.

By the way, once all my problems are solved who do I make the check out to?

This could be the solution to all my problems! :toothy10: If it does matter than my batt neg cable is going the wrong direction through the OBC which could be the reason the charger won't charge them?!?!?!?! Could it be this easy of a fix? I'm trying to save my batts before they drop below 50%...sinking fast.

gornoman- I got lots of problems so it'll be a while before the check goes out, in the mail of course...:tard:

That's OK, it's gonna be a while before I need my teeth cleaned again.

Fishiing Dude !
I will be amazed if this is true , "That it does matter which direction the wire is Run".
It is only measurind Voltage on a wire from Point A to point B .
Voltage should be the same on the wire regardless of Direction ????

Re: OBC wire direction

According to my 2007 manual:

Quote:

Note: The aluminum plate on the OBC should face toward the rear of the vehicle.
The white potting material side of the OBC should face toward the front of the vehicle.
It doesn't have much of pic, or explaination why... (heat sink?... wiring locations... etc.)
or, if the OBC is directional...
