how to charge gel cell?
 

I have a 12 volt gell cell I use for accessories. It is a HIGH RATE SERIES by CD Technologies. They are used for backup batteries for cell phone towers. I have a battery charger that can be set to 'NORMAL' or 'COVENTIONAL LOW MAINTENENCE AUTOMATIC' or 'MAINTENANCE FREE AND DEEP CYCLE AUTOMATIC'. I have heard these batteries need to be charged slowly, can anyone tell me which of these three settings I should use?

I would go with Maint Free myself. I do know that the GEL batteries require about half the amperage that a conventional lead acid battery needs during charging.
