disconnecting backup alarm
I have an '07 EZ Go. Can anyone walk me through the process to disconnect the backup alarm?

Re: disconnecting backup alarm
Maybe if you asked for advice on how to muffle the noise level of a safety device then I'm sure someone will come along and assist you.

Re: disconnecting backup alarm
Disconnecting backup alarm will also disable any diagnostic warnings you would ordinarily get.

Re: disconnecting backup alarm
take the keyplate out, turn on key, put in reverse, look and listen for source of noise, turn key off, pull one of the female spade connectors, noise will stop.

Re: disconnecting backup alarm
Find the buzzer behind the key switch plate and take a foam ear plug roll it between your fingers as though you were going to put it in your ear and place it in the small hole in the buzzer. This will still allow you to hear the diagnostics beeps etc.

Re: disconnecting backup alarm
Just put a piece of duct tape over where the horn is. You can still hear it, just not as deafening.

Re: disconnecting backup alarm
a search will pull up some additional instructions. it's easy to do. don't let the safety police deter you. I will tear a tag off a matress too.
