Carts dragging

I recently got a new belt and ever since my golf cart slows down really fast when I let off of the throttle! Also noticed it looks as if my belt if already getting chewed up. This sound familiar? Going camping next weekend any help would be appreciated thanks

Has noone had this problem of excessive engine braking with there new belts !?

I suggest you measure the belt to be sure it is the correct size.
Also, jack up the back and watch the clutches as you gently rev the engine.
