DCS Trouble

Hey Guys,Dad picked up a nice 96' with DCS.No Batts, and the controller was unhooked. He put in some nearly shot batteries, and the cart tried to move.Today he picked up a set of 3 truck-batts that I have(all test excellent). He hooked them up,and when he went to connect the Ground,he got a huge arc.The key was off at the time.He said he did put the cable on to see what would happen, and it does nothing. He is running tests from a manual and from stickies here,Does this sound like a Controller-Issue?I'm clueless on Electric-Carts.Thanks!

Re: DCS Trouble

Did he flip the TOW/RUN switch on the controller cover to TOW before he disconnected the cable or connected them, or some thing is hooked up wrong, double check the wires, does the solenoid click? key on and pedal pressed, need to jack the rear wheels off the ground while working on it, so if it does work it don't run away, or run over some one
