2005 ezgo 2 stroke will start but not move
The engine starts when pressing the gas pedal but the engine will only sometimes kick in high enough rpm's to move the cart. The gas filter appears to be clean. Need advise pleae.
There are two cables from the gas pedal. One is connected to the carb and one is disconnected. I think this is the governor? Does it need to be attached? What is the ideal oil gas mix ratio for this cart? Do you recommend highest octane gas? Thank you! |

2005 2 stroke? really?
Maybe it is a 4 stroke. Does it have a dip stick or oil in the crank case ? |
Re: 2005 ezgo 2 stroke will start but not move
I have to agree Scotty It's either a 4 stroke or it's not a 2005 can you send us a pic. of the cart and the cables you are referring to?

Okay well she is an 82 not 05 ... must have been a bit of a disappointment to learn :lhmo:
Really now, the 2 cables to the carburetor should be the throttle and the choke. Beyond that ??? Sorry I'm short on experience with old 2 strokes, perhaps somebody with more experience here will chime in. 8) |

Gotcha covered on this one Scotty B. The 2nd cable from the pedal is the Governor cable.
