1997 Carryall-1 high speed gears

Does anybody know how to put high speed gears in a '97 Carryall-1 transaxle, and where to find them?
It has stock tires and drives good, but goes only 20Mph top speed. I also replaced both clutches recently.

The gears on the carryall are no different than a DS. I believe electric and gas are the same rear axle on the older pre-97 carts.

Plenty of options out there, but before you order anything you need to determine if your cart has the Graziano transaxle or the old Kawasaki axle.

97 should have the Graziano Unitized transaxle. It will be a single housing design, with a large flat flange that bolts to the back of the motor cradle. The shift lever on top of the transaxle case points straight back toward the rear of the cart.

96 and older had a two piece transmission and axle that were separate housings. There is no direct bolted connection to the motor on these. The transmission housing has a gap between it and the axle tube on the passenger side. On this unit the Shift lever points straight up off the back of the unit.

My mistake! I missed that and thought it said 94 for some reason. Ignore most of what I said  but call David hicks at revolution and he’ll set you up

Late 96 was when they made the axle change, but some of that could have carried over into the early 97s. Plus you never know with a cart that old if something has been switched/swapped or traded from another cart. Should have, doesn't mean it Does have.

That’s pretty normal. You can get to 19-20mph on a stock DS/carryall with the governor adjusted perfectly to get the most speed possible. Any more than that you’ll hit the rev limiter.

If you’re not getting that, then look into your clutches and belt.

Ive never seen a stock one that high.

I get 22 tops in mine with 23" tires and using the zip tie mod.
I at one point got 24 but it was super loud and didnt sound great so I backed it down. Never hit rev limiter at any point but i've never seen a stock cart hit 20mph maybe I'm not trying hard enough
