cleaning batteries?
I have read all this info about cleaning batteries. So baking soda works?......but I am worried about getting it inside of them. If the tops are secured and I pour the solution over the top, do I have to be overly worried? What do I need to do, and how much baking soda to how much water do I need? Thanks

Re: cleaning batteries?
If the tops are on you don't really have to worry unless you plan on submerging them (-:
Just dump some in a container and add water. If the baking soda won't completely disolve add more water until it will. The proportions are not at all critical. When you see the solution foaming on and around your batteries you know it is working. Keep using the solution until it doesn't cause foaming then flush with a hose. You will want to have a small old cheap paint brush to scrub around the terminals. Jim |
