Club Car Precedent VS EZGO RXV

Just wondering opinions on 2016 Club Car Precedent VS 2016 EZGO RXV. I have the opportunity to purchase either of them and my main concerns are:

1) Top speed and price to make them go fast
2) Reliability
3) Availability of aftermarket parts

It seems as though they are both reliable and both have many aftermarket parts readily available. Not trying to start a brand bash either. Just looking for facts and I apologize as I do not know much about them...yet :). Thank you in advance.

Re: Club Car Precedent VS EZGO RXV

One opinion:

RXV has AC (brushless) motor. Doesn't slow down much or at all on inclines within reason even with back seat and more than just driver.
All electric RXVs have limited slip and automatic parking brake.
RXVs are not friendly for owner modification of the electrical system. It is possible to corrupt the Curtis controller even with a multi-meter if you probe the wrong wires. That said said they are just as customizable and any other carts. Just have to learn what is different.
RXVs will accept 20" tall tires without a lift. With dealer level controller unlock max speed is 19.6 mph and with the 20" tires 22-24 mph. No other modification necessary. There is a possibility of more speed with controller programing. Limited availability for that and there are caveats but a '16 model would be a candidate depending on the carts location. Steel chassis. Factory supplied charger is crap.

Precedent has conventional DC motor so will slow on inclines. Conventional braking system. Aluminum chassis. User friendly for electrical mods like music, lights etc. Cart has to be lifted to accept tires much taller than stock generally speaking although I know it can be done without lifting with some
modifications. Dealer controller unlock yields the same 19.6 mph on the factory size tires but the cart will slow considerably with added weight and going up hills. Not so much on the RXV or any AC motored cart generally. An aftermarket controller would make performance more equal with the RXV on the level but that is a 5-6 hundred dollar expense that is not necessary on the RXV. All Precedents are IQ or Excell. Proven, reliable cart and drive system. Late models have ERIC charger. Can't comment on the charger reliability.

There's the Ford-Chevy thing.

If you don't like regen braking you won't like the RXV.

Club Car makes AC carts now. You should consider.

Again, an opinion.
