2018 EZGO Express S4 High Output
 

I'm told that the 2018 Express S4 has its own dedicated 12 volt source for accessories so there is no need to add a step down converter. Can anyone tell me if this is the case and if so, where that hook up is?

If it is true, you will be looking for a "extra device" on a bracket that will have 2 "extra looking" terminals on it. The extra device will be about 1/4 the size of a loaf of bread. Black or raw aluminum in color, with some fins on it.. I'll add pictures in a minute of what it will look like. If your cart has built-in 12v converter, it will look like one of these. The black one is older, the "raw aluminum" colored one is the newer one. These are the only one Ezgo uses from the factory as far as I know. Third pic is the bracket with the "extra terminals". It's likely a little different on a txt, but odd looking isolated terminals is what your looking for.
