Looking at a 2010 drive
Been stuck in the 80s so know my way around a g1 but looking at a 2010 drive been reading about the team clutches and how the bushings wear out... When I look at the cart and if the bushings are bad is there a way to tell with out taking the clutch apart will it have play? Also planning on taking compression guage a long what should it be? Anything else I should be looking at?

Re: Looking at a 2010 drive
I have a 2011 Drive that was a fleet cart. The company I bought it from cleans them up and calls them refurbished. The first thing they do is remove the Team drive clutches and replace them with a newer style JW-8 drive clutch. The cart still had the Team JW-1 driven clutch and it worked out fine (22mph) with governor tied back. Replace the drive belt with a Kevlar heavy duty belt and you will be fine.

Re: Looking at a 2010 drive
Most team clutches may be junk... it's best to add that to your budget.
If it's not bad now, it's when will it go bad. Or you can budget for the newer jw8 clutch setup but it's about $450 for both with belt Or call plowman for his setup |

Would this be the same for a 2012 model?

Re: Looking at a 2010 drive
Engine clutch sticks closed then the rear clutch might get grooves in it ...
That seems like a common problem with them from what I've read and seen. |

The newer replacement clutches are better, but the Team clutches aren't that bad if you give them some TLC. |
