1986 ezgo 2 stroke won't start no matter what!
Alright guys I'm new to this site. I have a 1986 (I think) ezgo 2 stroke lifted cart it had no compression so I rebuilt the engine. It worked shortly then stopped. I went and bought a parts cart with an engine for $200 figuring it would solve my problem as I needed a clutch and few other parts here and there. Put it together, checked some wiring and still won't start. Thought maybe it was the engine so I pulled the fresh rebuilt engine and put in the one I bought which I was told it ran. And like it always has to happen, still won't work. I'm at the point where figure it needs to be my wiring. Any insight on this problem would be appreciated and if anyone would have a wiring diagram so I could go through my wiring conundrum would be greatly greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading, rocco.

Wiring diagram, and troubleshooting procedures are in this manual.
Look at the rebuilt engine. Take a look inside the exhaust port, and move the piston up and down. If you see a square hole in the side of the piston, it is in backwards. |

Does it turn over?
Does it have spark? What is the compression? |
