battery charge problem from casino
I have sold the local casino 2 EZGO shuttle and 2 yamaha shuttles, and they are having trouble keeping batteries charged.
I know that they are just cranking the cart moving in small increments to pick up passengers. Have anyone on here come up with a solution to help keep the batteries charged without having to put the cart on a battery charger overnite. These are factory 6 pass shuttles, 1 strobe light and factory head lights. I was thinking about putting a AGM (gel) batteries in them, but affraid if they drain them they take longer to fully charge. Are there any dealers out there having the same problem I am having. If you are how are you taking care of this problem. Thanks for any help. |
Re: battery charge problem from casino
just have your crew drive them around for 10 -15 min. every couple of hours, crews the casino perimeter once or twice a day and it should charge the batts back up. just putting in idle is called searching mode for the cart, needs to be run wot for a bit to put the charge back in the batts 8)

Re: battery charge problem from casino
Must be the lights draggin down the battery cause the little stop and drive stuff shouldn't really do that by itself. Add shorter belts to the ezgos, it'll make them rev higher from the start. maybe some led lights or stick a solar panel up top. you could also add an extra battery at least it would last longer
