2012.5 chugs / no go
 

2012.5 carburetor model, battery tested, lights and other items good. press gas petal in forward and reverse, chugs but no most of the time movement forward or reverse. Every now and then it takes off and goes. I have a technician in another field, first golf cart. I do not know the mechanical sequence to test. Can you point me in the right direction. Thanks

Check for solid spark first (I suggest inline spark tester). Then spray a little (flammable) brake cleaner down the carb float to see if adding some fuel gets it fired (that would indicate its lacking fuel).

Thank you, it was the coil as you suggested. Inline spark test showed spark but to ground was extremely weak. Replace coil and all good!! Thank you.
