aligment of cam shaft, crank, and crank balance on g14

Could anyone please tell me the correct alignment of the cam shaft, crank, and crank shaft balance shaft. I am getting ready to reassemble the engine and the cam shaft fell out when I took apart the engine case cover. Thanks to all replies in advance.

With the piston at "TDC" install the cam so the "big hole" in the cam alighns with the "dot" on the crankshaft tooth (pretty good marks for that and the cam lobes will be in a position where the valves are closed), for the balancer...you will need to turn the crank "counter clockwise" to get the balancer mass past the crank mass. When you turn the crank back to the cam/crank mark, the balancer mark/cam mark and the crank marks should form a "V". Hope the picture and discription help.

Thanks to you for the picture and reply. You guys have been a great help to me. I am not a mechanic but have always wanted to rebuild an engine. I just hope it runs when I get finished.http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/image...s/icon_lol.gif
