1999 48V clubcar

well after being so slow it finally 2 times today i guess hit high gear sort a speak. it pulled really good. it has plenty jusice and the load test seems good. it has a 300 amp controller and i never saw it over 200 amps today while checking it. it really got about 120 amps and then cut back. when it finally took off i did not have a gauge on it. what do yall think is the problem. the solenoid seems fine and the brushes are clean on the motor. the potentiometer seems good. do you think the controller is bad. the controller has the a2 position on it. it is a 36-48 controller. if you think it is going bad does anyone have a used 1 or just what do i need to do. thanks scott

So your saying it worked good for a while then started acting up again? Controllers don't usually do that, they just quit. The pot could be going bad.

Alltrax makes some on the best on the market, then there is logisystems, kelly and some others.

is it the 2 and 3 connection on the controller i ohm out. just disconnect these wires and ohm it right there. scott

Re: 1999 48V clubcar

The small wires on the controller.....you disconnect them and measure the ohm's...on the wire not the controller.

1 is power and the other 2 are throttle.

scott your motor controller is 300? probally oem stock? need to replace it with at least alltrax400amp or 500 is the real deal i cant even run my cart with 400 amp fuse in line when you start blowing fuses you know you got a combo that cranks remember your controller will only put out what the motor demands &wants so if you get a performance motor that will pull the big numbers you will understand i bet your controller stays cold when they get warm that means your workin your **** correctly & it,s all about the motor !!!
