Arcing from #6 neg terminal?
I just replaced the batts and cables on my 02 48 volt club car and now when i press the pedal it sparks from the #6 neg terminal? I know they are hooked up right so why is it doing this? also it acts like its not taking a charge. thanks

Re: Arcing from #6 neg terminal?
Sparks generally indicate a bad connection. You may have a bad cable. It is always a good idea to change your cables when you change your batteries. I would also check again to see for sure that all the batteries are neg to pos all the way through the set. How is it acting like it won't take a charge?

I would double check the battery wiring for proper connections. It just sounds like a battery is in backwards. |
Re: Arcing from #6 neg terminal?
Check small gage red wire that is connected to last battery to charger plug.

Re: Arcing from #6 neg terminal?
From what i can gather the OBC/charger look for a minimum of 40 volts to come on

Re: Arcing from #6 neg terminal?
If you have sparks coming from #6 battery terminal there is an improper connection of some kind.

Re: Arcing from #6 neg terminal?
Look for loose cables in lugs, frayed wires, wire strands sticking out of lug, darkening around lugs
