1982 EZGO - Got it running but have to run @ 1/2 choke. Ideas?
I took the carb off and cleaned the main jet, needle and seat basically everything I could take off I did and cleaned. I took the tank out and cleaned it, put in a new fuel filter, cleaned the fuel pump and she fired up after all that but I still have to hold the choke to make her run.
Help please.... |

Check reed valves and do a compression test. Maybe shes not pulling enough crankcase pressure to move the fuel air mix. Those 2 strokes can be aggravating.

Did you take the fuel pump apart and check the diaphram for cracks. My cart had the same problem. So after removing the carb I moved down to the fuel pump. If the diaphram has a crack in it it will allow gasoline to move into the head and flood the engine. The diaphram cost me 5 bucks
