I have tested many many two stroke plugs and this one has the lowest resistance cold than any plug on the market. Well worth the $8 price tag.

A little tip on plugs. You have a shot of power that is going to shoot a spark. Imagine that the power is a length of rope. This is the total amount of power you will shoot every time your plug fires. If your plug uses resistance to fire the spark it will take more of your rope to fire the spark before it shoots. This will then retard your timing and slow your burn time in the cylinder. Follow me? Now if you lower your plugs resistance cold the spark will start sooner. If you close up the gap the spark will fire sooner too. You want to shoot your spark as soon as you can on a warn old motor. If you start to hear a bee buzz under load and full acceleration you will have detonation. Exhaust side of the piston looks sand blasted and you will see aluminum peppering on the spark plug. Back to the rope. This is all the spark you will make. If your plug shoots sooner you can open up your plugs gap to slow the spark but most of the time you want to close up the gap to give you a hotter spark. The sooner the plug fires on the rope the longer the spark is going to burn and the more power your going to give to the fuel air mix.

Make sense?? clear as mud? The sooner you fire the spark the longer and hotter the spark will burn. The more fuel and oil mix you will burn the less chance you will get a fouled plug. A fouled plug 99% of the time is a break down of the plug ( more resistance ) and it takes more of your rope to fire it and you have a poor burn. It compounds with short runs with out the motor getting to operating temp. As your plug gets hotter the resistance gos down. With any wire when it gets hotter the resistance will drop.

With my experience with two strokes you want the flat ring where the threads end to be oily. If it is not you want to add more oil. You will burn down with out this area of the plug staying oily. Klotz will let you run leaner but this is a high end oil and high performance only tuning. Nice and tan with the strap nice and tan to the top of the electrode. The electrode is the center of the plug the spark shoots from. How tall this is in relation to the ground strap needs to be tan too. If not open and close the gap in relation. Once set your good to go. Nothing more you can do.
