Re: Bokes's g9

Future plans are a Jakes LT, 25x11x12 ITP Blackwater Evolution tires on 12" black Fairway Alloys Elixir rims. Also thinking about a yellow Rhino lined body. I may need to find a different body because the body on it is very clean.

That's a nice cart, Chris:thumbup: I'm sure you'll have fun with it. Any chance of you making it to CAW on that Saturday?

Re: Bokes's g9

No Dave, not gonna be able to make it. So you guys will get to see my cart in person before me.

Thats a sharp cart Boke. Where did you find it?:lhmo::thumbup: I drove it around the house yesturday. I have mine here at work with me and there is a differece in performance. Mine has the plowmans clutch kit and your has just a Plowmans belt and a spring that i got off from ebay. Yours has the newer secondary ramp shoes. This is a picture of mine but yours has the same Helex. I think thats what you call the part.

Re: Bokes's g9

Makes me very un-happy that he's not going to be there this year. The wife and i had a great time riding with Boke last year. The wife was scared as hell when he was riding with her.:lhmo::shock:

kgsc 05-06-2013 02:20 PM

Re: Bokes's g9

Was she trying to take a beer away from him ? I know I would be scared ...

Re: Bokes's g9

No his cart broke down so he was riding with her.

I don't know why Pam was scared. I know I may be a bit larger than most but I wasn't gonna eat her. :lhmo:

Re: Bokes's g9

I have missed a bunch of these but timing just kills me.. Other than that rock attacking me when I was "walking" through the parking lot, I had a blast last time I was there. Once we get off these furloughs and I get my AC fixed in the Camper, I'm there.. Just need to plan better I guess.

And Tom said, "let there be light"! Thanks Tom. Now I can terrorize the neighborhood 24/7.

Re: Bokes's g9

No problem at all Chris. Drove it around last night and they work great. Wait till you drive yours then you drive mine with the Don Plowmans secondary clutch kit. Same engine in both carts but the one with the clutch moves. Yours feels like something is holding it back and the clutch is the only difference.

Re: Bokes's g9

Okay, time for a few updates. I found a aluminum diamond plate tool box on Craigslist cheap to use to make my accessories.

Poor box don't know what's about to hit it.

http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/...l/IMAG0391.jpg

Got the bracing off the back of the lid, soon to be a kick plate.

http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/...l/IMAG0392.jpg

After a few beers, out came a kick plate.

Stay tuned for more......

Boke, did you ever get the engine hiccup taken care of?

Re: Bokes's g9

No, haven't replaced the motor yet. It's sitting on the workbench still.

Got one rocker panel done.

hey,a cart down the street i want has the look of yours, meaning it has the upright beside the seats on each side.
does this mean its a g9 yamaha,or did other carts have the same upright?thanks

bokeasmowl 06-21-2013 05:51 PM

Re: Bokes's g9

Here's the motor. It's a 420 with a 390 head for more compression, billet flywheel and rev kit installed. I have a race carb from NR Racing to put on it as well. Hopefully I can get it switched out sometime this weekend.

Re: Bokes's g9

Sassy, G2's and G9's have the uprights to hold the seat backs. Best looking Yamaha in my opinion. Jakes makes a longtravel for these as well.

Re: Bokes's g9

Body is gonna be yellow and all the diamond plate is gonna be sprayed black with truck bedliner. I'd love to do the body in yellow bedliner, don't know if my funds can afford it. I need to find some work.

Eventually it'll be riding on a Jakes longtravel and 25's. Wheels will be Fairway Alloy "Elixirs" in black and ITP Blackwater Evolution tires...25x11x12's.

I got an Equis 8068 tach for it already and I have some plans for some old school Yamaha graphics also by ChevyRacing75.

Sounds like a sharp lookin ride when you get it all done.

I've been thining for a year trying to decide on a color scheme and I'm still thinking. I want it to be fairly obvious it's a hunting buggy but I also want it to look kind of cool for the campground too, not just another camo golf cart.

bokeasmowl 06-21-2013 08:24 PM

Re: Bokes's g9

Use a camo pattern with blaze orange in it. I seen a pattern somewhere and it looked pretty cool. Deer are color blind anyway.
