Help identifying Cart
I'm looking at buying a cart to turn into a ranch/hunting cart. This one is local to me and seem like a good start since it already has larger tires and is already raised.....but the seller has no idea what year it is or if it is a series or Sepex motor.
From what I have read I a Series motor will be better for me because it has more torque. I'm not sure if I'm right, maybe you guys can let me know if it matters Any idea on how to identify the year and motor type on this cart. http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/w...e1a8171c81.jpg http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/w...085769143b.jpg |
Re: Help identifying Cart
Have the seller give you the Serial number of the cart and put it into the box of this link http://www.shopezgo.com/customer-ser...ialNumber.html

Re: Help identifying Cart
Welcome to BGW
it looks to be a PGS cart, but i don't know what that little nob is in the corner of the body on the passenger side, here's a chart that will help you figure it out, if it is a PDS cart, if the controller has not been changed ? if it is stock, it is going to fail, with those big tires, figure out what it is, and we will go from there, http://i985.photobucket.com/albums/a...iveguide-1.jpg |
Re: Help identifying Cart
What is that knock on the passenger side near the floor. Also it likes there is a hole in the center where a FnR switch would be. What is that?

Re: Help identifying Cart
Looks like a white label under the charger port. That should have serial number on it.
My guess it's a PDS or DCS since there isn't a F/R lever by driver's knee. |
Re: Help identifying Cart
That is most certainly a newer body, (the S/N tag). The lack of a FnR lever on the body, (looks like the plug may be missing), suggests it is indeed a PDS cart. The toggle switch in the dash would pretty much comfirm that. PDS carts are not series carts and therefore not "high torque" carts.

Re: Help identifying Cart
Thanks guys
I contacted the seller and asked for a S/N so I can check it. The type of motor will be my determining factor because I dont want to have to replace the motor on top of the upgrades I had planned |
