What should the charger read?

Plugged the charger into our 110 outlet outside our RV, plugged the charger into the cart, and it reads 0 amps. The needle isn't moving.

The reset button on the charger isn't out either. And we've verified that the outlet does have power.

The charger does have a large dent in the front of it. How fickle are these things?

Can I test the charger by sticking my voltmeter in the end that goes into the cart?

If the voltage drops to low on the cart it won't trigger the charger to charge. What is the total pack voltage now??

I'll have to check. It was 48.something the other day, but we used it a bit yesterday to run around the RV park.

For future reference, when the packets 48 V it should be on the charger. 48v represents a 50% discharge of the pack. Deeper discharge will reduce the useful lifetime of the pack.

The OEM charger will sometimes take up to two minutes to analyze the pack and begin charging. At that time you should see the amperage needle go up.

So as it turns out, my charger works fine. My partner is mechanically declined and didn't push the plug into the cart far enough.

When I plugged it in it immediately clicked, went to 15 amps and over the last two hours has reduced to less than 10 amps.

And this morning it had kicked off and was at 0 amps.
