Re: what size tires will fit

22" will not fit without a lift. There would be some serious rubbing up front and in the rear also, most likely. Lift kits push the front end forward a little bit on Yamahas because they will rub if not moved forward.

The 205s won't be a problem.

Re: what size tires will fit

Don't buy lifts from BU. Don't buy anything from them if you can help it, but vital suspension components are no place to skimp.

Re: what size tires will fit

With a 4" lift you can run 20" tires. For 22's you will need more lift. I would
not buy a lift from B U either.

Re: what size tires will fit

my problem is i have 450.00 to play with so if i went with the Jakes 6 inch lift
can i put 22 inch tires on my stock 8 inch rims and still have enought clearance for suspension and steering or will i need to do more

Re: what size tires will fit

Should be fine with 22's on a 6 inch lift.

I'm not sure what ECCC (Ron) has, but check this out. I would buy this econo
lift before the one at B U.

Re: what size tires will fit

Did you get them from CPP? :-D
They also have lift kits. BU's are cheaper, but they are borderline dangerous. They're weak and built like $hit. I'm quite certain turds would provide more structure than a BU lift.

http://i15.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/aa/05/7183_2.JPGno i got them off of ebay but called the guy for bigger tires?do you think the BU is ok if im not offraoding
its mainly used for Race tracks and crap like that

these are what i got

wish i could find someone with a used lift kit cheap

Re: what size tires will fit

NICE!! If your going with 205's, I don't think you need a lift kit. I'm pretty sure they will work stock height due to the 205's being a low profile.

jwblocal701 08-22-2007 01:20 PM

Re: what size tires will fit

well 205/50/10 are 18 inch tall 205/65 are 20.5 tall so its a taller tire
all i want really is 4 inches that will work for me just to give the cart a nicer look

Tell ya what **** these are addiciting i have only had it 2 weeks

I agree. It's just a good cheap lift in my opinion that seems to be made pretty good.

James James James. The point is to steer people :arrow:AWAY:arrow: from BU, not TO THEM! :? :-D

Re: what size tires will fit

LOL! I'm pulling for East Coast Customs and CPP as much as I can. I'm just not going to say someone elses product is crap if I don't think it is. I don't have a problem with Bu's or anyone else really at the moment and would like to keep it that way. I'm sure everyone else would agree.

Re: what size tires will fit

ok another question on my G9 how do i stiffen the rear springs?
are those springs replaceable? Im putting a rear seat on and it already bottoms out with 2 people siting on the rear fenders

spriddle 08-22-2007 02:38 PM

Re: what size tires will fit

Look on ebay and get a set of stiffer coilovers.

Re: what size tires will fit

You can send them to Plowman's Carts to have them shimmed.

James, I do not bash the heck out of BU for no reason. Every item I've ordered from them has been defective. No item from any other company has been. Ever. I wouldn't feel so sourly towards them if they would have made it right, but they really put me through the ringer to make it half way right. I don't support people companies who 1. don't know what they're selling to begin with, 2. don't care, and 3. don't stand behind their items.

jwblocal701 08-22-2007 02:51 PM

Re: what size tires will fit

do they sell shims anywhere i am a mechanic so i have spring compressors

spriddle 08-22-2007 02:59 PM

Re: what size tires will fit

Not that I know of but check out the helper coil springs they have at Auto Zone back near the lowering and tow kits. You may be able to fab them up.

jwblocal701 08-22-2007 03:45 PM

Re: what size tires will fit

Just called Jakes they said i can use those red springs they sell on a g 19 shock and they will fit
BU sells a heavy duty spring as well that says it will also worn on a g9 if the spring is removable

jwblocal701 08-23-2007 10:50 AM

Re: what size tires will fit

thanks no no Plowmans sold me the shims 20 bucks for both for the rear and 10 bucks for the 2 in the front

30 bucks is cheap to stiffen it it and they said its a dramatic diffrence
