Driven clutch problem
I just put my cart back together and now the belt just slips on the drive clutch. What causes the belt to grip on the drive clutch shaft?
Any suggestions? :help: |
Re: Driven clutch problem
When you increase your rpms the drive clutch should squeeze together
On mine it had set so long it stuck alittle wd40 and it freed up |
Re: Driven clutch problem
Can you push the movable sheave towards the engine by hand (engine OFF please)? If so, then it may be an issue with the weights inside. If NOT, the sheave is either rusted or somehow stuck on the shaft.

Re: Driven clutch problem
Well the clutch decided to heal itself. After testing it over and over again while the cart was up on jack stands, it eventually started to work. Finally got to take it for a ride.
Thanks to all for your suggestions. |
